Get In Shape

Using the ATM2 (from the BackProject Corp) with specific stretching sequences will allow professional and non-professional golfers to distinguish themselves from the rest of the playing field.

ATM stands for active therapeutic movement developed from the BackProject Corp. in San Jose Calif.  The ATM2 is a unique piece of performance based equipment designed to stabilize body segments and move in a new pain free range of motion.  The ATM2-MI (mini-door model) was used at the Canadian Open in Vancouver where tour members Brian Gay, Pat Perez, D.A. Points and Greg Owen used it.  Since then, Owen has made it a regular component of his performance program.  Ernie Els used the ATM2 after his knee surgery as seen in March 2006, Golf Digest “How Ernie Els got back in the swing”

Golf Fitness

Why hire a golf biomechanic?  Having a trained eye to assess and correct muscle imbalances during the complex movement of the golf swing is what I have been trained to do.  My mentors Janet Alexander who trains Mike Weir and Paul Chek of the CHEK Institute who wrote the Golf Biomechanic’s Manual.  Functional training is just that, it leads to a better functioning body.

A body that functions better especially through the rigors of 18 holes of golf is one that will likely remain injury free.  That is my goal, to keep players enjoying the game longer and yes, they do increase their drive!  Back pain is one of the leading problems for golfers and through an effective conditioning program this can be alleviated.
